A luxurious restaurant with fine dining and authentic Punjabi and Mughlai cuisine. Sandoz is one heaven of a place for those who love North Indian food with all their heart. I’ve always been skeptical about North Indian food, so when I say that they’ve got the best of it, then you can trust me. The best thing about this place is that it’s an all-age community restaurant. Whether you have a special family dinner, friends get together, a date or even if you’re craving authentic food, it’s fit for everything, you can’t go wrong with this place. Let me show you why I’m going gaga over this place.
I just loved the ambiance of this place. The restaurant has warm and subtle interiors. It’s got ample space with spacious sitting arrangements. The restaurant was comforting in a way that I can hardly describe. An excellent place for those who like decent places with soothing music and bright lighting.
I literally can’t put more emphasis on how good their food is. Everything was palatable.
In drinks I had-
This phalsa sharbat was terrific. I loved the balance of all the flavours in this drink. It had the perfect measure of lemon, spices and sweetness. I definitely recommend this.
Oh, if I could just deliver this to all of you! This lassi was so satisfying, so thick and creamy, and the mango flavour was just icing on the cake.
In starters I had-
Palak Patta chaat
Palak Patta was fried to perfection, it was soft yet crispy. Even with all the wet toppings of curd, chutneys and pomegranate, it retained its crispness and wasn’t soggy at all. Such a delightful treat.
Chukunder galauti kebab
These kebabs are made of beetroots. I know this might sound gross to some people but guys these were amazingly good, and not only that but these were healthy as well. Not to mention, soft and cheesy.
Okay, so do you guys know that I’m utterly obsessed with dips? They served these thin and soft rolls that were stuffed with veggies, paneer and cheese with a luscious sriracha dip. I totally loved these.
In Main course I had-
Another thing that I’m obsessed with is soup, and they certainly know how to make that. The soup had a perfect dark brown color, the broth was thick, hot and spicy and had the perfect amount of veggies and scallions.
Paneer Mushroom Bhurji
This dish is my favourite thing from their menu. I mean mushrooms and paneer together? Who wouldn’t love that? Well, I’m going nuts about this one and definitely going back to have some of that tender Bhurji. This is a must-have.
The naans were perfectly flaky, crispy and buttery. These had stuffing of potatoes and paneer. Utterly delicious.
Their staff was very welcoming. They graciously welcomed us at the door when we arrived. They were courteous, polite and helpful. Also, they knew what they were serving, so they were professional and knowledgeable. The service was quite prompt and neat.
The prices of this place are pretty okay, considering the quality and quantity of the food they serve. All of these dishes and drinks were under INR 2000. Need I say anything else? Another good thing about them is that they also organise parties at this venue.
HOW TO GET THERE
This restaurant is in Phase 2 Ashok Vihar near Model town. The nearest metro stations are said to be Keshavpuram and Kanhaiya Nagar. Also, if you’re going by your vehicle, they have a spacious parking area on the ground floor.
THE FINAL VERDICT – 4.9/5
